AMORIA

Character-centred interaction, developed in stages.

AMORIA brings language and speech capabilities together with character state, memory and expressive interaction. Our development focuses on conversational continuity, character consistency and appropriate responses in context. Research across different characters informs the development of reusable capabilities for AMORIA. It is not a claim to have built a new foundation model, human consciousness or genuine feelings.

Start with a person, a situation and a concrete need.

Our mission is to develop appropriate companionship and support, helping people face everyday life and make their own choices. Different characters provide focused contexts for research and evaluation; reusable findings inform the ongoing development of AMORIA.

We study how to ask when context is missing and revise an interpretation when corrected, using only the background a person chooses to share. We must not invent personal histories or treat guesses as facts.

Four characters. Different research questions.

ROLA: a fictional character inspired by a real person, connecting our first hardware product with research into cultural background, character continuity and embodied expression. We explore how voice, gaze and conversational timing can convey attentiveness while respecting personal boundaries.

Claire Reyes: an original story experiment exploring character history, motivation and consistent action. Episode 1 is planned for 6 November 2026. This does not mean Claire is currently available for live conversation or embodied in ROLA.

Tachibana Sumino | 橘澄乃: a fictional character exploring questions that respect personal choice in situations involving responsibility, promises and waiting. Four Pillars (BaZi) provides a cultural framework for interpretation and reflection.

Morikawa Akari | 森川灯里: a fictional character exploring listening before explaining, and handling uncertainty for people reflecting on relationships. Astrology is used as a symbolic framework.

These are creative and research directions, not validated capabilities or a promise of live interaction with every character. BaZi and astrology are not presented as scientific prediction or diagnosis.

Learn from situations. Evaluate beyond them.

Our approach connects software engineering with the practices of directors, actors and character creators: background, objectives, relationships, listening and improvisation. We aim to evaluate character continuity and appropriate responses in new situations and multi-turn exchanges, beyond fixed scripts.

Evaluation designs compare against foundation-model baselines. Candidate updates undergo review and versioned evaluation before controlled release. A convincing screen performance is not proof of reliable interaction.

AMORIA today

Demonstrated today. Our ROLA product demonstrations show conversation and companion-app examples, including character expression and memory management. A demonstration shows the setup presented, not every delivery configuration.

Project-based integration. AMORIA integration for partner products and services is scoped by use case, device, language, interfaces and evaluation needs. Delivery and availability are agreed for each project.

Research & roadmap. Cross-device character continuity and further interaction capabilities are development directions, not a statement that every integration or character service is available today.

Current evaluation scope

Our controlled research evaluation focuses on an English-first, single-character prototype. This describes a test scope, not the full product or partner offering. Priorities include conversational continuity, expressive voice, interruptions, facial expression, available touch input, a small knowledge base and permission-based tools.

Delivered functions depend on the product, software version, region and agreed configuration. Research demonstrations and roadmap items are identified separately. The system materials and Blue Books below document work in progress, not independently validated outcomes.

Respect memory, privacy and real-world relationships.

Memories remain under the owner's control, reviewable and deletable at any time. Ordinary product use, personal memory and research training are distinct purposes. Research use requires appropriate permission; private conversations are not automatically treated as training material.

AMORIA does not claim to read a person's true inner feelings. It is not a substitute for human relationships, medical care or professional support, and is not intended for workplace or educational settings, or for assessing individuals.
